Gallery and small update

Hey, just a small update. I added galleries to this site, now I can specify some tags as gallery tag, which, instead of generating a log as a list, generate a grid like a gallery. I already added some of my old photos, so feel free to check it out here: #gallery. And I’ll add more as I look for anything that I deem nice, pretty or just interesting. I have backlog of RAWs that I never processed too… Typical me.
And like for many things, I made it a little icon! :)
golog is still in beta as of writing this post, so, sadly, you cannot use it :P
It was very easy to add this, barely an inconvenience, just 85 changes according to git.
I still need/want to change the way I generate logs, galleries and indexes to use HTML templates,
instead of hardcoding HTML in the code, but it’ll work for now. Worse is better, right? ;)
This doesn’t handle posts in any special way, it literally just embeds the content into the gallery. On my website and in the example I simply clip the overflow, but that’s CSS specific, so up to you. This means you can also use this for non-image data, maybe like videos, poems, what have you.
Alright, this is it for now. I looked at my notes for possible blog posts, and so many of them are
negative. I don’t want to post negative stuff all the time, like ranting about some technology or
what not. I need to space them out, so maybe I’ll just write little updates here and there. A game
review? A software recommendation? Maybe you should email me and tell me how
stupid this blog is what you think? Then again, that’s just asking for trouble.
